International Cell
When the ‘men’ of the family were in Europe, us ‘ladies’ at home had a hard time reaching them via their cell phone. As I will be gone for 4*ish months, this difficulty is causing my mom great stress. Today I tried seeing if google could enlighten me on my international cell options. I first found this old article which recommended Telestial as a good company to go with. After dating a web developer I have found myself noticing the usability of websites, and was impressed with Telestial.
I believe I shall purchase a Passport SIM Card which gives me free incoming calls in all the countries I plan to visit, and USD$0.49/min. Once I get to the CZ I may get a Czech SIM card, as it will make my local calling and texting significantly cheaper.
All this research has also shown me that I get to purchase a new cell phone! Quite exciting, as I’ve had my old phone for about 5 years now and I’m getting pretty tired of it. It looks like I’ll either be getting a Motorola Razr or a Siemens AF51, as they are offered in a promotion through Telestial, and will definitely work overseas.
