Valentine
Valentine’s Day. I suppose I’m a day late on this, but yesterday I was busy spending time with loved friends. I understand that this ‘love holiday’ is overly commercialized, but I feel there’s still ideas that can be taken from this day.
- Love yourself and others
- Show that love (everyday, gifts not required)
- Smile, laugh, have fun
Let’s reclaim the meaning of this holiday, and use it as a reminder to express our love. Somehow, our sense of being ‘busy’ prevents us from taking the time to have fun and enjoy the company of others. Get to know those around you. Hmm, cheesy, but important.
I received a valentine from a classmate of mine. She spent time the evening prior handmaking Valentines for her co-workers and class-friends. I felt honoured to receive one of them, and it was perfect. A simple but stylistic package filled with m&ms and candy hearts. Thank you, Ashley!
