Center of NZ
Instead of spending my time at work doing productive things, like learning Cash Flow Statements for my Accounting midterm next week, I spend it pretending I know how to use Photoshop. I dug up this old photo I took when traveling in New Zealand. If I remember correctly, this needle sculpture was meant to point down to the “Center of New Zealand” – which also happened to be on top of a really pretty hill that overlooked the town of Nelson. Quite convenient that the “Center” is also a lovely view point!
All around me people are buying/using DSLR’s, and I’m tempted to buy one as well. No small decision. I play with Lisa’s every time she brings it in to work, and I have to admit that the sound of the shutter closing somehow makes photography much more enjoyable. It seems quicker, and more satisfying. My camera tends to spend a few seconds thinking and focusing and by the time it takes the picture my thought is “finally” instead of “yes!”.

oooh such fond memories of that hill (and eating fudge a-top-it).
Now I will go to sleep with peaceful dreams. :)
