iPod Case: Failure

Another neat DIY project I found is an iPod Case. I have a Mini so it’s difficult finding a case for it and I’ve been using a black wrist sweat band. Now, these instructions are for a suede case. If you are bored and think “hey, maybe the scraps from my bag will work…” then stop. Just pick up your keys, drive to the nearest fabric shop, and buy suede. Also, buy your own needles so that when you break one trying to sew through velcro you don’t feel so bad (shh, don’t tell my mom).

This project went from “hey, yeah, this’ll look great!” to “wow, this is terrible!”. You know that moment when you realize that something is not going to work out, but you’re so invested that you keep going anyways? Yup. Definitely had that feeling while cutting out the holes and noting that the edges are definitely going to fray.

However, I feel the only way to improve is through practice, and therefore here is my version of the iPod case. I will use it as it’s still an accomplishment. Until I buy suede, that is.
