Louis Tribute

We drove up to Carstairs to listen and dance to a Louis Armstrong Tribute band. Three of the musicians are part of the Polyjesters, a local “ka-chunk” band that we had the opportunity to see during JunoFest, and who we saw as much as possible during last years Folk Fest. It was a super fun trip! I had called in advance so they saved us some dancing space on the linoleum (rather then the carpet), and they were happy to see us. The music was fantastic, the guys were hospitable and the lindy was fun as always. The only downside was that it was super hot. Super. Hot. But we picked our songs carefully and drank lots of cold water. The evening concluded with a lovely bonfire in Jason’s backyard. Great company, fresh homemade fajitas, and beer. Perfect. Definitely worth the drive, and hopefully it’ll happen again!

Thanks Polyjesters!

Yes indeed. I actually had a really hard time catching the movement without it turning out blurry. I’m glad this one turned out :)

Hey Jo … Do you have any more shots? They’re really great and I’d like to see if maybe we can steal one for a promo shot.

Sad to hear those didn’t turn out. Maybe my presence jinxed them?
