Flat
I decided to start my summer of adventure a bit early and made a spontaneous trip out to Banff with Jason. We convoyed out, and somewhere along Highway 1 Jason’s tire gave out. I felt completely useless as I sat there watching him wrench loose the bolts. My dad feels that I would not have the strength to change my own tire (likely true) and therefore never really taught me what to do. Instead, he gave me an AMA card.

Well, I commented on the wrong post because Megans are not so much smart.
forget about prague– i need to visit you in Alberta! (for banff, not for a flat tire– we get those here too)
Good news!! You can totally change a tire yourself — you just need the right type of wrench-thing to get the bolt-things off. The one that comes with the car (or at least the one that came with my car) is not good enough but you can get these ‘X’ shaped ones that make it much easier.
Robin: Definitely! Once I get back from Europe I should have my own place and you’d be welcome anytime :)
Lisa: Perhaps I shall request it for Christmas? Though I believe my Christmas list is already ridiculously long (sewing machine, skis, bike, queen sized bed, furniture… I think my chances of getting any of those things is pretty slim… )
That’s a great photo!
