London

Wow. London has been completely amazing and overwhelming! I’ve now done 4 solid days of everything touristy, and my feet and legs are starting to complain about all the walking. Meghan and I bought the Oyster Card which has been amazing – free travel on the tube and bus system for the week. We’ve definitely taken advantage and have seen many of the streets of London, both touristy and not.

Touristy sites that we have visited include:

  • Buckingham Palace
  • Trafalgar Square
  • National Gallery
  • Piccadilly Circus
  • Tower of London
  • Tower Bridge
  • St. Paul’s Cathedral
  • Inns of Court & Inner/Middle Temple
  • Westminster Abbey
  • Big Ben/Houses of Parliament
  • Tate Modern Museum

*phew* I’ve also attended 3 swing events and have gotten to know a few people in the London swing scene that are headed towards Herrang. Very cool. And in general Meghan and I have had a really great, but busy and tiring time touring around. We’ve tried to check out the side streets as much as possible, and it’s been neat getting a feel for the city. We both love it.

Thanks Robin! I’m super impressed with my camera! And I’ve found that many people have cameras of a similar quality to mine so I’m not feeling especially nervous about standing out and being a target for thieves. Yay!

Will do, Ashley :) Hopefully the next couple weeks will be a bit more relaxing, because this past week has been ridiculous!

Isn’t Monica in Trafalgar right now? Or was there just a week or two ago? Weird. I knew you’d still be updating ye olde blog while on the road!

    Hi Chuck,

She was, she got home on Sunday! I’m so proud of all my globe-trotting friends :) (and not gonna lie…more than a little envious as I sit in my gray cubicle looking at beautiful pictures)

    Way to go, Jo!
