York
I’m absolutely in love with York. The center of the city is surrounded by a wall and everything inside is lovely. Cute little streets lined with shops every way you turn. Of course, the atmosphere is difficult to capture in photo especially when it’s overcast, but this street is part of ”The Shambles”. It’s a well-known street which shows the narrow*ness the best. I also love how the buildings all overhang inwards, making the distance at the top narrower than street level. I have until 3:30 tomorrow to continue exploring before I head down to Bath.

Hi dear
Looks marvelous :) I had dinner with Monica last night, and she was expounding on the beauty of York, too. She brought me a beautiful book of Tennyson poems that’s about a hundred years old (and shows it) from some little corner bookshop there. Fun!
I’ll send you a proper email tomorrow; there’s a couple fun stories to relate, but the main thing? School’s done as soon as I’m done this paper (about 6 more pages)…how sweet is that? So, I’m off…your site and not the computer…to finish it.
Enjoy Bath :)
