Baking

Today I took advantage of Travcice’s kitchen, flour, and other baking supplies.  I didn’t think I would miss the act of baking as much as I did, but it’s a comforting home-like activity.  Babi, Dedo and I made some nut-free strudel, and nut-free muffins, so that I can share with nut-allergic Elena.  I think it’s funny how the muffins puffed like mountains, and the chocolate shavings spread as though like a snow-covered peak.

wow that is indeed the highest peaked muffin I have ever seen!! I was thinking that before I even read the text of your post! Why is it like that? I thought maybe it had something to do with altitude or something….anyways, Happy Birthday!

    Thanks Ladies :)

My aunt made about 5 different desserts on Monday, none of them officially cake but sugary and tasty and close enough :)

Lisa, I think it’s something to do with the type of yeast they have here, but I’m not sure.
