Sunset in Marseille
I haven’t had proper internet in the last 4 days, which means I’ve been meeting people. Quite fun! Yesterday I met two fellows from Quebec and we spent the day touring Marseille together. I forced them to watch the sunset, because it was just so beautiful. It resulted in us being late for dinner at the hostel, and they were not too impressed. I think eating corner store food was worth it…
Today I visited Chateau d’If. If the Count of Monte Cristo was real, this is where he was imprisoned. Quite cool. I like this city, and am happy I chose to come here even though my tour book didn’t really recommend it. It’s very lively and real, with a hint of Italian culture in the air.
