		<description>The Art Gallery of Calgary is a definite pass for a contemporary arts gallery, but Calgary has a long way to go in that sphere. Here in Montréal, we&#039;ve the Musée d&#039;art contemporain, the Musée des beaux-arts (which has a contemporary arts section), Yves Laroche, and possibly many other lovely galleries I&#039;ve yet to stumble upon.

From what I&#039;ve seen, it&#039;s the lack of arts funding in Alberta compared to elsewhere in Canada.
