Baking Success
Our oven has been referred to as the “Little Crematorium” by our landlord, describing the fact that it seems to bake faster than usual. With this in mind, we found a thermometer and made it a happy home inside our oven, ensuring that our baking is happening at the correct temperature and does not go awry. I found that my Choco Banana Loaf actually took longer than usual, but this may have been due to me opening the oven multiple times to check on the temperature, likely letting out the warm air. As my first test of baking in this house, I was delighted when the loaf turned out fabulously – though as it is a family favourite I might be a little biased. Mmm banana chocolate pecan goodness!
