painting chinatown

On Saturday I found myself enjoying the lovely afternoon, wearing a newly acquired button from Nation Toys & Tees, and wondering whether I would prefer to use the light green paint or the dark green paint…

After reading a post about Painting Chinatown, I couldn’t resist stopping downtown to check on the Chinatown festivities, and join in on the painting.  After walking down the main mural alleyway, Dana and I emerged at the end to discover a completely empty white wall!  We were delighted, and a little nervous about making the first brush stroke. Once the nervousness subsided, Dana and I took to it to paint what I paint best…  Stars!  (Though, to be honest, I think Dana’s orange stars look much more elegant than my green chubby ones…)

This is how we left it on Saturday afternoon.  Even while trying to take this photo we had to stop other people from running in to fill in all the white spaces.  I can’t wait to see how it will develop into a permanent mural!

    Hiya!
    1) Yes, I’m still blogging, but slightly less frequently than before. Especially now that work has been busy again
    2) Thanks :) I need to go back and see what it looks like now, a month later.
