Weekend of Swing

This weekend Swing Dance Calgary hosted a workshop with Lucy and Leo from Vancouver. It was great to spend an entire 2 days dancing and getting inspired. Also exhausting, and I can feel it in my right shoulder and legs. Happy that underemployment also means getting to spend Monday at home recovering.

Fall Ice

Something I didn’t expect to see yet – ice on the bow river.  Somehow I forgot that cold evening temperatures leads to frozen water.  Aren’t the goose’s feet cold?  Mine would be.


Progression

Yesterday I went downtown for a career fair and walked past the construction site of the Encana Bow.  It’s neat to see how much it has progressed during my time away.  I’m looking forward to the positive effect it will have on the struggling streets around it. Sunset on the Bow

I’ve been re-acquainting myself with Calgary, and am enjoying it.  This photo is from the 10th Street bridge over the Bow, snapped while walking to Kensington for a friend-filled dinner.  I’m such a sucker for sunsets.
