Oregano

Lisa gifted us one of the cutest housewarming gifts, a mini ‘Friendship Garden’ (from Seracon) with oregano as the plant. It came with everything needed to grow oregano from the start; a mini pot (only about the diameter of a twoonie!), some soil, and of course the seeds. I planted the seeds a few weeks ago, and slowly but surely it’s starting to grow! It seems as though all creatures, including plants, are super cute when they’re little.

Red Awesomeness

Every once in a while I am reminded of how awesome and stylish my mom is, and these shoes lead to one of those moments. She discovered them while touring through Australia, and immediately thought of me and my swing dancing. After a couple of emailed photos confirming that I was equally as in love with them, she purchased the correct size and brought them home. They need a little more wearing in before I can dance a full night in the them, but I wore them to work one day and received so many compliments that I swear my head grew 3 sizes larger. Thanks Mom, for improving my self-esteem and making me look hot!

Wine Rack

As a lover of wine – mostly of drinking wine – I suggested a wine rack as an ideal housewarming gift. My brother went one step further, and gave me not any old wine rack, but rather one that he designed and built by himself! This amazing piece of functional art has become quite the conversation piece, and I am always proud to state its origin.

Thanks Davey! As you can see, it’s being well used.
