I seem to collect journals of sorts, but jumped on the opportunity to make her one. I picked another Metremade pattern that I quite like, and thought she would like as well, and made a mini journal with graph paper inside. This clear contact paper is super fun!

I also made a few other things this past weekend, but I can’t share them until a couple birthdays happen ;)

I determined the notebooks were something that I had most of the materials for, and that they would be a good start into my list of potential projects. After a (slightly frustrating) trip to Michael’s I was a proud owner of “Con-Tact Transparent Decorative Covering”, the only supply I was missing.

Using How About Orange‘s instructions and a couple patterns from Metremade I made 3 notebooks and a cash holder (I had been using a manky cut up envelope for many months now). The black&white pattern and the tree pattern are from Metremade, who I am now in love with, the flower is some wrapping paper, and the stripes is scrapbooking paper that was in my craft collection. Not quite as clean looking as How About Orange’s, but fun none-the-less.
