After looking at all the DIY blogs I was feeling inspired, and had a creating itch. I determined the notebooks were something that I had most of the materials for, and that they would be a good start into my list of potential projects. After a (slightly frustrating) trip to Michael’s I was a proud owner of “Con-Tact Transparent Decorative Covering”, the only supply I was missing.

Using How About Orange‘s instructions and a couple patterns from Metremade I made 3 notebooks and a cash holder (I had been using a manky cut up envelope for many months now). The black&white pattern and the tree pattern are from Metremade, who I am now in love with, the flower is some wrapping paper, and the stripes is scrapbooking paper that was in my craft collection. Not quite as clean looking as How About Orange’s, but fun none-the-less.

(I need to find a good place in my house for taking photos. Not enough light anywhere!)
